Georgia Radiology Group Renews RCM Services Agreement with Zotec Partners

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – (June 8, 2016) – Zotec Partners (Zotec), the industry-leading provider of radiology revenue cycle and practice management services, announces a revenue cycle management (RCM) services renewal with Georgia-based Radiology Associates of Macon (RAM), a private, multi-specialty radiology group that offers state-of-the-art digital imaging technology. In the extended agreement, Zotec will continue to manage the practice’s revenue cycle by employing superior billing processes, proprietary technology, and a team of radiology experts.

Radiology Associates of Macon has been serving the Central Georgia community since 1975. The group is a hospital-based private practice radiology group consisting of 30 radiologists and three radiation oncologists. Its team of board-certified radiologists provide expertise in sub-specialty areas such as body imaging, neuroradiology, pediatric radiology, vascular and interventional radiology, radiation oncology and nuclear medicine.

RAM’s Practice Administrator, Greg Cassimus, notes that Zotec’s industry knowledge and unique RCM technology has helped the group maintain high levels of efficiency since 2001. “Zotec’s team of experts is always ahead of the curve with respect to radiology reimbursement matters, and they have given us in-depth, daily assistance with our revenue cycle management for more than a decade,” he states. He goes on to say that Zotec’s ability to find exceptions and issues in the revenue cycle has helped the group maintain its cash flow, adding, “It’s not uncommon to experience issues with payers in a complex reimbursement environment. Zotec has always resolved our billing issues quickly.”

According to David J. Law, executive vice president of sales and marketing with Zotec, the introduction of new patient experience methods has also contributed to RAM’s reimbursement success. He states, “In today’s healthcare landscape, patients are often forced to take responsibility for their healthcare decisions. Because of this, Zotec has implemented a business-to-consumer model for RAM that uses the most innovative patient experience methods on the market.” He goes on to say that with Zotec, the group has transformed its ability to engage, bill and collect from patient or consumer audiences. “Our patient outreach methods include determining patients’ propensity to pay, followed by a series of strategic phone calls, text messages and statements, with options for patients to view and update their account, make payments or set up a payment plan all directly from their smartphones or dedicated patient portal.” He adds, “this allows 24/7 access to the billing office for RAM’s patients.”
