Hitachi Healthcare Americas Introduces SynergyDrive MRI Workflow Solution

At the 102nd annual RSNA meeting, Hitachi Healthcare Americas (HHA) will demonstrate its SynergyDrive MR workflow engine. SynergyDrive comprehensively addresses the bottlenecks in the MR scanning process from start to finish – from patient registration to post-processing and image sharing. SynergyDrive benefits technologists, radiologists, department administrators and most of all, patients, keeping true to Hitachi’s commitment to speed, comfort and quality.

SynergyDrive is standard with the Echelon Oval 1.5T MR system that features the widest patient bore (74 cm) in the industry and the widest patient table (63 cm). “Oval’s unprecedented wide bore and patient table have in themselves positively impacted workflow by making patients more comfortable and compliant. But we felt it was time to take a higher level view of workflow and remove unnecessary delays from each step.” said Jason Miller, HHA MR Marketing Manager.

SynergyDrive addresses speed of throughput with automated patient registration, pre-population of scanning protocols, streamlined patient positioning and setup, along with its Auto Image Load feature, which helps efficiently prepare the next scan for seamless transition. The Oval provides a comfortable environment for the patient with its ultra-wide bore, wide table and various gantry tools such as gating confirmation and start/pause buttons that enable patient-side setup and scanning to occur. Features like the Workflow Integrated Technology (WIT) coil system and Auto Element Selection feature, ensuring an optimum setting for each patient and deliver high quality images.

SynergyDrive also includes a number of sequences and image processing tools to improve image quality and reduce callbacks. RADAR motion compensation, FatSep, RAPID parallel imaging and non-contrast MRA image sequences deliver fast, high quality images while reducing the amount of time the patient must remain motionless.

“Population health and value-based imaging leave imaging providers with little margin for error in maintaining their profitability.” said Sheldon Schaffer, HHA Vice President and General Manager for CT and MR. “SynergyDrive coupled with the inherent workflow advantages of the Echelon Oval help keep patient throughput steady all day long.”

SynergyDrive is being showcased at this year’s RSNA meeting (Booth 2511, South Hall). Schedule a demo now: www.hitachihealthcare.com/RSNA2017
