IMRIS Unveils New Brand and Comprehensive Consulting Services at 2017 Congress of Neurological Surgeons Annual Meeting

BOSTON – IMRIS, the global leader in intraoperative imaging, unveiled its new corporate brand identity and its comprehensive consulting services approach during the 2017 Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) Annual Meeting in booth #601. The new brand, “IMRIS: For the Human Experience,” goes beyond technology solutions to focus on the people impacted by IMRIS’ work – clinicians, hospital administrators and, most importantly, patients and their families. The brand was developed in part to communicate IMRIS’ new position in the industry: not only as a provider of the premier IMRIS Surgical Theatre, but as the world’s foremost provider of robust consulting solutions for the hybrid OR market. The news comes on the heels of the company’s two-year anniversary under new ownership and strong financial growth.

Industry’s First Intraoperative Comprehensive Consulting Service

A first in the intraoperative imaging space, IMRIS’ new comprehensive consulting services leverage the IMRIS team’s years of experience as the leading provider of intraoperative imaging solutions. They apply their unique skillset and depth of knowledge to the company’s new service-based approach, including:

· Consulting: IMRIS consultants work with hospitals and leading technology providers to find an OR solution that maximizes the value of each system. By bringing together ideas and technology from the industry’s best, IMRIS harmonizes the Surgical Theatre with the needs of patients, clinicians and hospitals.

· Designing: IMRIS architects tailor every component of the IMRIS Surgical Theatre to optimize workflow and patient flow. Throughout this stage, IMRIS works closely with clinical teams and administrators to maximize the value of the system.

· Creating: After bringing together the medical industry’s greatest technologies and minds, IMRIS engineers create an unparalleled operative experience: the IMRIS Surgical Theatre.

· Supporting: IMRIS stays in contact with both clinicians and hospital administrators to maintain and evolve the system. As the hospital’s partner in medical innovation, IMRIS goes beyond standard support to provide exclusive, groundbreaking technologies.

This comprehensive approach is designed to support the company’s flagship IMRIS Surgical Theatre solution, featuring the world’s only ceiling-mounted moving intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (iMRI) or computed tomography (iCT) imaging modality, allowing neurosurgeons to see critical anatomical detail while the patient remains on the operating table. The results are life-changing, giving neurosurgeons greater precision and accuracy during surgery, increasing efficiency within the hospital, and improving patient outcomes by reducing the need for additional operations.

“Launching our new brand and the industry’s first customized consulting services provide innovative IMRIS Surgical Theatre solutions that improve the experience and outcomes for neurosurgeons, hospitals, patients and their families,” says IMRIS President and CEO Andrew Flanagan. “IMRIS is transforming the way that intraoperative imaging solutions are designed, created and supported, delivering custom surgical theatres for surgeons and hospitals around the globe. We’re focused on building the most advanced hybrid surgical theatres, to elevate both the medical and the human experience.”

In the past two years, IMRIS has reported record earnings, and has expanded its customer base to more than 75 customers worldwide in some of the most prestigious hospitals globally including Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins Hospital and Beijing Tiantan Hospital. To date, more than 30,000 patient lives have been impacted by the IMRIS Surgical Theatre solution.

New IMRIS Product Solutions on Display at CNS Annual Meeting

Along with launching its new brand and consulting services, IMRIS continues to innovate new product solutions based on clinical need. During the CNS Annual Meeting, IMRIS also unveiled two new product solutions that will be available to hospitals soon, including a new MRI conditional surgical table and new imaging coil designed to enable additional procedures in IMRIS Surgical Theatres. Both products are currently under development and not available for sale within the United States at this time.
