Inc. Magazine Unveils 35th Annual List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies—the Inc. 5000
NEW YORK, August 17, 2016 – Inc. magazine today ranked Direct Radiology No. 581 on its 35th annual Inc. 5000, the most prestigious ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The company is the only radiology practice recognized with this prestigious honor and also received recognition as the No. 4 honoree in the state of Idaho.  The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment— its independent small businesses. Companies such as Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees of the Inc. 5000. “Earning the 581st spot on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list is an exceptional honor and a testament to our partnership model. We were built by radiologists, for radiologists, allowing each member of our team to be highly invested stakeholders who are truly devoted to our customers’ success,” said the Direct Radiology founders in a joint statement. “From day one we have never wavered our focus on the fundamentals of patient care, quality and customer service. A large part of our success is a commitment to managing that growth responsibly. We value quality of care over quantity of cases and put patients ahead of profits – every time.” Founded in August 2011 and open for business in January 2012, Direct Radiology is a leading provider of teleradiology solutions to radiologists and radiology groups throughout the United States. Just over five year ago, Direct Radiology founders Drs. John Arias, Lawrence Bub and Kyle Henneberry met while working with NightHawk Radiology. Following the NightHawk merger, the three radiologists came together to form a teleradiology partnership with the goal of building a long-term, fulfilling teleradiology practice for its physicians while providing outstanding patient care and exceptional service to its clients. Today, Direct Radiology is comprised of more than 40 radiologists and 35 support staff who work in close partnership with 200+ facilities across the country. In November of 2013, Direct Radiology was awarded Joint Commission accreditation, demonstrating that our internal processes (credentialing, privileging, quality assurance, information management and disaster preparedness) function at the highest level and meet the rigorous standards applied by the Joint Commission. The 2016 Inc. 5000, unveiled online at Inc.com and with the top 500 companies featured in the September issue of Inc. (available on newsstands August 23) is the most competitive crop in the list’s history. The average company on the list achieved a mind-boggling three-year growth of 433%. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue is $200 billion, and the companies on the list collectively generated 640,000 jobs over the past three years, or about 8% of all jobs created in the entire economy during that period. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000. "The Inc. 5000 list stands out where it really counts,” says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “It honors real achievement by a founder or a team of them. No one makes the Inc. 5000 without building something great – usually from scratch. That’s one of the hardest things to do in business, as every company founder knows. But without it, free enterprise fails.” The annual Inc. 5000 event honoring all the companies on the list will be held from October 18 through 20, in San Antonio, TX. Speakers include some of the greatest entrepreneurs of this and past generations, such as best-selling author and strategist Tony Robbins, SoulCycle co-founders Elizabeth Cutler and Julie Rice, Cornerstone OnDemand founder, president and CEO Adam Miller, Marvell Technology Group director and co-founder Weili Dai, and New Belgium Brewing co-founder and executive chair Kim Jordan.  More about Inc. and the Inc. 500|5000 MethodologyThe 2016 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2012 to 2015.
