MGMA seeks applications for Association President and CEO

Englewood, Colo., Sept. 18, 2014—The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), today released a candidate profile summary for applicants interested in the position of MGMA president and CEO. MGMA is the largest association for medical practice administrators and executives in the United States. Jerard J. Jensen, healthcare attorney, Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek, Madison, Wis. is currently serving as MGMA interim chief executive officer. Susan L. Turney, MD, MS, FACP, FACMPE, former president and chief executive officer of MGMA announced her resignation in July.

MGMA’s president and CEO will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and vision to MGMA and the larger healthcare industry, managing the MGMA staff and Association operations, as well as representing medical group practices and continuing to position the organization as the resource for members on critical healthcare issues.

“MGMA works to create successful medical practices that meet the needs of today’s patients. We’re seeking a leader who understands the current landscape of healthcare change as well as the importance of physician-administrator leadership teams in improving the quality of care,” said William Henderson, FACMPE, practice administrator, Albany Medical College’s Community Division of Neurology, former MGMA Board Co-Chair, Chair of MGMA CEO search committee.
