The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) has announced that online registration is now open for the SIR 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting held from March 17-22 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, Calif.  

SIR's annual meetings are intended for radiology professionals, trainees, fellows and other various health care professionals to come together and scout out new innovative imaging treatments and share research and this year's meeting in Los Angeles will be no different. 

"Peer-reviewed scientific abstracts feature prominently throughout the program, with more than 400 oral presentations and more than 350 poster presentations to inform attendees about the science shaping the specialty," according to the press release. "Highlights at SIR 2018 include sessions on how medicine’s big-data revolution will change IR and the return of SIR’s dedicated, hands-on stroke course."  

SIR 2018 is expecting to have over 5,000 attendees, including roughly 100 international radiology and imaging faculty. The four-day meeting will host numerous presentations and interactive session formats, including 13 clinical pathways, workshops, lectures and self-assessment modules.
