Memorial Hermann, MD Anderson Cancer Center opening four screening centers around Houston

Memorial Hermann Health System, a nonprofit Houston-based hospital system, and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, also based out of Houston, are opening four new breast cancer screening centers around the metropolitan Houston area, according to a report by the Houston Chronicle.

The new center locations will be located in Cy-Fair, Upper Kirby, Willowbrook, and Pasadena, Texas.

"We know that catching breast cancer early offers patients the best possible options for treatment, and making that early diagnosis—or giving the news that all is clear—starts with confident, quality screening," Jay Parikh, MD, associate professor of diagnostic imaging at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, said in an official statement.

These centers will be known as MD Anderson Breast Care with Memorial Hermann. Each will offer mammography screening, diagnostic mammography, ultrasound, biopsies, and MRIs, according to the report from the Chronicle.
