Northeast Radiology announces merger of operations with HVRA

Northeast Radiology has announced a merger with Housatonic Valley Radiological Associates (HVRA). After the move, which is effective August 3, the company will retain the name Northeast Radiology.

According to Howard Lee, MD, Northeast Radiology president, big investments and other significant changes are on the horizon.

“As part of our commitment to our patients, referring physicians, and the community, we will be making a multi-million dollar investment in our Danbury and New Milford imaging centers,” Lee said in a statement. “We will be making major investments to upgrade MRI, CT scan, 3D mammography, and ultrasound in the imaging centers. We also will be upgrading the IT infrastructure and facilities to improve the patient experience and to enhance ease of access and service for our patients and referring physicians.”

Northeast Radiology was founded in 1996. Its headquarters are in Brewster, N.Y., though it also operates imaging centers in Mount Kisco, N.Y., and Connecticut. HVRA, founded in 1978, has imaging centers in Danbury and New Milford, Conn.
