Radiology Partners announces deal with Tampa-based Radiology Associates of Florida

El Segundo, California-based Radiology Partners has announced a new partnership with Radiology Associates of Florida (RAF), a Tampa-based private practice first established in 1970. Radiology Partners now includes more than 900 radiologists from 17 states.

“We’re excited to welcome the RAF physicians and support team to Radiology Partners’ growing practice,” Rich Whitney, Radiology Partners’ chairman and CEO, said in a prepared statement. “During the last 40 years, they have excelled by building a team of accomplished subspecialty radiologists with expertise and a passion for radiology, academic research and teaching.”

“We chose Radiology Partners because we connect to their mission of transforming the field of radiology,” Krishna Nallamshetty, MD, president of RAF, said in the same statement. “Radiology Partners’ single-specialty focus on radiology, powered by their investments in clinical innovation, physician leadership and data analytics, will further equip us to better serve our patients and referring physicians.”

RAF will continue to provide services to its patients in Florida, receiving resources and service from Radiology Partners. No financial information about the deal has been made public at this time.
