T RA Medical Imaging Engages Zotec Partners in Extended Revenue Cycle Management Agreement

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – (December 8, 2016) – Zotec Partners (Zotec), the industry leader in physician billing and practice management services for radiology practices nationwide, is pleased to announce a revenue cycle management renewal with TRA Medical Imaging (TRA). Since 2007, Zotec has provided comprehensive revenue cycle management solutions to the group using a blend of proprietary technology, business intelligence, compliance and exceptional personalized service.

Based in Tacoma, Wash., TRA is the source for convenient diagnostic imaging throughout the south Puget Sound. The group is a local partnership of more than 70 sub-specialized radiologists providing high quality, patient-centered care since 1943. TRA provides more than 850,000 interpretations annually within eight area hospitals in the MultiCare and CHI Franciscan Health, nine TRA operated outpatient imaging centers and numerous medical offices.

According to Dennis Carter, CEO of TRA, the group can rest a little easier with Zotec directing revenue cycle operations and enhancing the patient experience. He says, “I cannot speak to the issues of other organizations, but I can say that Zotec has always worked closely with our group to solve complex billing issues while creating dependable cash flow.” Mr. Carter also points out Zotec’s unmatched approach to the patient experience noting, “the company leaves no stone unturned when it comes to obtaining payments from patients, and especially those with high-deductible health plans.“ He adds, “With Zotec, patients have a plethora of payment options, including a patient billing portal, mobile bill-pay and auto-deductions from patient bank accounts. All of these methods assist our radiologists in getting paid more efficiently for services rendered.”

Zotec’s Founder and CEO, T. Scott Law says Zotec has evolved its RCM technology, reporting capabilities and patient experience methods to improve TRA’s business insights and financial reliability over the years. According to Mr. Law, “Radiology has undergone so many challenges since we first partnered with TRA, and we have strived to help the group tackle those complexities every step of the way.” He goes on to say that patients with high-deductible health plans are taking on more out-of-pocket accountability as consumers in today’s healthcare landscape. “One example of how Zotec is evolving to address industry trends is a technology that we’ve developed, which categorizes patients into personas, not only to determine their propensity to pay, but also how they would prefer to pay. With this information, we have the ability to quickly customize our patient billing strategies for TRA, and help the group meet patients where they are as consumers in order to obtain payment,” Mr. Law says.

Zotec is the largest radiology revenue cycle and practice management provider in the country, with more than 20 years in the radiology industry. It serves 35 of the nation’s top 100 radiology groups, including thousands of radiologists. Zotec integrates the best people, processes and technology for fast, accurate and compliant radiology reimbursement solutions. Zotec’s proprietary processes and technology manage in excess of 70 million medical encounters across all 50 states.
