Plaintiffs to appeal after court dismisses lawsuit against IRadimed

The plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit against IRadimed Corporation, a Winter Springs, Fla.-based developer and manufacturer of MRI-related products, have filed a notice of appeal after the case was dismissed back in May. IRadimed announced the news in a statement, saying it “intends to continue to vigorously defend against plaintiff’s claims.”

Shareholders filed the lawsuit because, they said, IRadimed allegedly failed to disclose certain information about the company’s compliance with Food and Drug Administration regulations. IRadimed disputed the allegation.

When the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida first dismissed the case, Roger Susi, IRadimed’s president and CEO, said in a statement that the company was ready to move forward.

“We are pleased with this ruling and will continue to focus on meeting the needs of our customers,” Susi said at the time.
