MEDNAX acquires Tennessee-based Radiology Alliance, Infinity Management

National health solutions partner MEDNAX has announced the acquisition of Radiology Alliance and Inifinty Management headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, in an effort to expand radiology strategy to include both on-site and teleradiology services.

Radiology Alliance, founded in 2001, is staffed with 64 physicians and six clinical support staff, making it the largest private practice radiology group in Tennessee. The company provides treatment and outpatient imaging centers to nine TriStar Health System hospitals in Middle Tennesseee and hospitals in Southern Kentucky.

Infiniti Management is a comprehensive management platform that also performs services in regions of central Tennessee and Kentucky.

“We believe the technological capabilities MEDNAX offers through vRad, combined with our own practice-management expertise and physician-centric leadership, make us an extremely valuable partner to radiology practices," said Roger J. Medel, MD, CEO of MEDNAX in a statement. "I’m excited at the opportunities we have with Radiology Alliance, particularly given this group’s long-standing leadership position in radiology and its partnership with TriStar Health. Together, Radiology Alliance and MEDNAX leadership share a common vision of becoming a recognized national leader in radiology by combining on-site radiology excellence with world-class technology, analytics and telemedicine capabilities.”
