Oregon imaging center closing in late January

Diagnostic Imaging of Salem in Salem, Oregon, is closing its doors on Jan. 26.

The center is operated by Salem-based Diagnostic Imaging Associates. Jennifer Whybark, an administrator at Diagnostic Imaging Associates, spoke with Jonathan Bach of the Statesman Journal, calling declining reimbursements a primary reason Diagnostic Imaging of Salem is no longer able to remain open.

Of the company’s 43 employees, 34 will be let go. No radiologists will lose their jobs, however; instead, they will rotate between other locations operated by Diagnostic Imaging Associates.
