Dicom Systems to unveil Load Balancer enterprise imaging module at SIIM 2018

Dicom Systems, a California-based enterprise imaging and teleradiology IT company, has announced the release of Load Balancer, an updated module for its Enterprise Imaging Unifier platform.

Dicom Systems designed the module to optimize digital imaging and communications in medicine (DICOM) caching, compression, delivery and scalability. The Load Balancer is currently being used by Desert Radiology, a practice with eight outpatient locations serving a dozen hospitals in Southern Nevada.

"Dicom Systems is proud to bring DR an application-level load balancer that supports their tremendous growth while enhancing their existing Workflow Unifier HA Cluster,” said Dmitriy Tochilnik, president and CTO of Dicom Systems, in a prepared statement. “DR's heavy traffic volume and complex enterprise imaging environment called for the kind of highly customized solution we've homed in on."

The Load Balancer will be displayed at the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine’s 2018 Annual Meeting May 31-June 2, in National Harbor, Maryland.
