Minneapolis-based Vital Images, a Toshiba Group company, announced this week it is launching a “zero-cost” data migration service.

The company said it is  increasingly focused on informatics products and services in 2016, but its visualization and personalized medicine algorithms businesses will not suffer as a result.

Jim Litterer, Vital Images president and CEO, said in a prepared statement that the company is looking forward to providing its customers with this service.

“We are excited to launch a zero-cost data migration service to the global marketplace,” Litterer said. “Based on direct customer feedback, this new background data migration service is once again in lockstep with our customer centered product requirements ethos. Our zero-cost data migration service is an immediate non-disruptive service, truly changing the face of this realm. It is yet another step in our vision to provide unique customer centered services in enterprise interoperability; patient engagement; secure access to the patient’s complete health record and in lockstep with the Accountable Care environment.”

More information about this new service will be available at the 2016 HIMSS Conference & Exhibition from Feb. 29 to March 4. Vital Images will be presenting it, along with other new offerings, from booth 732.
