Three experienced members of the American College of Radiology (ACR)—Ezequiel Silva III, MD, Gregory Nicola, MD, and Joshua Hirsch, MD—have been appointed to the CMS Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) Episode Care Groups and Resource Use Measures Clinical Committee. The committee was created by CMS to provide input on details regarding the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System.

Silva is chair of the ACR Commission on Economics, member of the ACR’s MACRA Committee, and a member of the American Medical Association’s Relative Value Committee. Nicola is the chair of ACR’s MACRA Committee and also works as the vice president of Hackensack Radiology Group. Hirsch is chair of ACR’s Economics Committee on Economic Issues in Academic Radiology and a member of the ACR’s MACRA Committee.

All three individuals were nominated by both the ACR and the American Society of Neuroradiology.
