Radiologist named to Arkansas Women's Hall of Fame

Radiologist Joanna Seibert, MD, has been named a member of the Arkansas Women’s Hall of Fame’s class of 2017. Seibert was a practicing pediatric radiologist in Tennessee, Iowa and Arkansas before recently retiring. She is also a deacon in the Episcopal church and the author of six books on spirituality.

Arkansas Business profiled Seibert this week and asked her about her experiences. In the article, she speaks about working as a medical technician and deciding to pursue the next stage of her career.

“I had this great education that I wasn’t using; I just was performing tests but then didn't have a lot to do with what happened afterwards,” she said, as quoted by author Dwain Hebda. “So I decided I was going to go to medical school, kind of all of a sudden. This is what I want to do.”
