Radiology Partners adds former Baylor Scott & White Health CEO to board of directors

Radiology Partners has added Joel Allison, former president and CEO of Baylor Scott & White Health, to its board of directors. Allison has more than four decades of experience in healthcare and retired from his position at Baylor Scott & White Health in 2017.

“Hospital executives across the country are looking to partner with organizations that understand value-based care and are committed to innovation,” Allison said in a prepared statement. “Radiology has the potential to have a tremendous impact on downstream quality and cost of care, and Radiology Partners’ market-leading position, physician-led and physician-owned model and aggressive investments in leading clinical programs set us up for long-term success.”

In the same statement, Rich Whitney, Radiology Partners’ chairman and CEO, said Joel was a “great addition” to the company’s board.

“He is one of most respected healthcare leaders in the country, and his passion for transforming the U.S. healthcare system will make him an invaluable asset as we strive to elevate the role of radiologists as leaders in value-based care,” Whitney said.

Back in February, Radiology Partners announced the addition of Jeffrey Immelt to its board.
