RBMA raising money for Louisiana residents affected by flooding

The Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) has created a fundraising challenge to help Louisiana residents affected by the area’s recent flooding. The group, which is holding its Fall Education Conference in New Orleans at the end of September, said its goal is to raise at least $5,000 for Baton Rouge Area Foundation, a local nonprofit founded in 1964.

Thirteen people have died so far as a result of the flooding, and it has caused approximately $15 billion in property damage so far.

“As business owners, employers and health care providers in our own communities, RBMA members understand both the economic consequences and personal heartbreak of a disaster such as this,” Jim Hamilton, MHA, CMM, RBMA president, said in a prepared statement. “In conjunction with our Fall Educational Conference in New Orleans, we are encouraging all our members to join together and make a difference for the people of Louisiana.”

Information on the fundraising challenge and how to donate can be found here.
