Two leading medical imaging providers complete merger

Leading medical imaging providers in Washington State, TRA Medical Imaging (TRA) and Medical Imaging Northwest (MINW), have officially completed a merger and will begin operating under TRA-MINW starting Jan. 1, 2017.

"Coming together allows us to create security in this shifting health care landscape, to collaborate in support of a shared purpose, and to remain focused on what is most important to us - providing the highest quality patient care in our area,” said Katherine Choi-Chinn, MD, radiologist and executive chair of MINW, in a statement.

Patients’ coming first has been the motto of both providers, despite an increasingly large amount of changes made to the national and regional healthcare platforms in recent years.

"The scale of the combined groups allows us to provide expanded subspecialty services across the care continuum to a larger population of patients. With that comes the opportunity to standardize care across this region based on best practices and best available evidence, as well as to provide continuity of care across the population we serve," said Douglas Seiler, MD, radiologist and president of TRA Medical Imaging.

Jodelle joined TriMed Media Group in 2016 as a senior writer, focusing on content for Radiology Business and Health Imaging. After receiving her master's from DePaul University, she worked as a news reporter and communications specialist.
