Carestream will continue its five-year role as the U.S. government’s provider of digital imaging display systems. The company announced Sept. 28 it has won the Digital Imaging Network-Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (DIN-PACS IV).

The base contract is set for five years, with an option for another five years later.

The contract could mean up to $150 million worth of business from the government for the Carestream, which would buy its universal viewer product, Vue Motion, its MyVue patient portal, its management dashboard, Vue Beyond. Governmental facilities might also purchase its Clinical Collaboration Platform, which integrates patient information from different platforms.

Carestream pointed to its previous government contract as helping set the stage for its renewal.

“We have a reputation for excellence in medical image management technologies, and our proven solutions are installed in commercial and government facilities in the United States and around the world,” said Carestream General Manager for Healthcare Information Solutions Ludovic d’Aprea in a statement.
