AMRA announces new marketing agreement with GE Healthcare

AMRA, a global medical technology company based out of Linköping, Sweden, has entered into a new marketing agreement with GE Healthcare, the company announced at this week’s European Congress of Radiology in Vienna, Austria.

AMRA Profiler, a cloud-based body composition measurement technology, is at the heart of this deal; the product will now be available on future MRI scanners manufactured by GE Healthcare. AMRA Profiler was developed to help individuals learn more precise information about their body’s composition.

“This co-marketing agreement marks an important milestone in our relationship with AMRA and we are proud to be able deliver access to AMRA cloud based body composition analysis to GE customers,” Mark Stoesz, GE Healthcare global product marketing manager, said in a prepared statement. “In light of GE Healthcare’s strong heritage in MRI technology, this collaboration is a welcome opportunity to combine our expertise and deliver new value to physicians and their patients.”

“AMRA aims to assist the world’s medical leaders in providing better body composition measurements, leading to more personalised treatment for people at risk of poor metabolic health outcomes,” Tommy Johansson, AMRA CEO, said in the same statement. “The AMRA and GE Healthcare co-marketing agreement is a significant step forward in this ambition.”
