Canon Medical Systems USA gains FDA clearance for new ultrasound system

Canon Medical Systems USA announced its Aplio i600 ultrasound system has been cleared by the FDA and will be on display at the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) 2018 annual meeting March 24-28 in New York.

The Aplio i600 is fully adjustable and includes a user interface that takes the clinician through each step of the process. And since it uses the same transducers as the company’s current Aplio Platinum Series, providers can easily upgrade to this new system.

“The Aplio i600 was designed to expand the clinical utility of ultrasound by delivering outstanding image quality that allows health care providers to feel confident in every diagnosis,” Dan Skyba, director of Canon Medical Systems USA’s Ultrasound Business Unit, said in a prepared statement. “The cost-effective solution also improves productivity with an intuitive user interface that enhances workflow and reduces training needs.”

Canon Medical Systems will be displaying at AIUM 2018 at booth #1600.
