Raymond V. Damadian, inventor of the MRI, to speak on May 17

Raymond V. Damadian, MD, inventor of the MRI, is scheduled to speak at the University of Buffalo in Buffalo, N.Y., on May 17.

Damadian’s lecture, “MRI: A story of discovery in medicine,” is free and open to the public, according to the university’s website.

Damadian received the National Medal of Technology and was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. In addition, he was given the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Lemelson-MIT Prize Program in 2001.
