Telemis to launch updated imaging software at RSNA

Belgium-based Telemis, a medical imaging, archiving and transmission company, has completed work on the next generation of its PACS.

Version 4.8 of its Telemis-Medical software platform features improved diagnostic mammography and visualization capabilities for mobile devices, according to a statement from Telemis to Radiology Business. Additionally, it simplifies the sharing of medical imaging data between practitioners and medical facilities.

The new software will be officially launched at this year’s Radiological Society for North America’s (RSNA) annual conference in Chicago from Nov. 27-Dec. 2.

The updated program can calculate the doubling time as it pertains to the RECIST analysis criteria and provides an instant fusion of image data collected from multimodal examinations. The software can also support PDF and DICOM files.

“In this new release, we combine advances in specialist areas with the ability to transfer images to tools outside of the PACS environment, while facilitating greater communication between specialists,” said Telemis CEO Stephane Ketelaer, in a statement. “Using the latest version, healthcare professionals can go beyond simply transmitting images to providing full medical contexts using secure communications that do not compromise patient confidentiality.”
