ESR and GE Healthcare announce AI partnership for ECR 2019

The European Society of Radiology (ESR) and GE Healthcare have announced a new partnership focused on artificial intelligence (AI) for the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2019 in Vienna, Austria. 

The partnership includes joint educational sessions highlighting AI and a shared booth space where attendees “can experience the AI transformation through interactive tools.”

“AI will be one of the leadings topics at next year’s ECR and this exclusive partnership with GE Healthcare is a major step in making ECR 2019 the leading event on artificial intelligence for radiologists and related medical professionals,” ESR President Lorenzo E. Derchi, MD, of the Italian Ministry of Health, said in a prepared statement. “Through our joint efforts congress participants will be able to witness AI excellence on the highest level, making next year’s exhibition an event no one should miss.”

ECR 2019 will take place Feb. 27—Mar. 3, 2019.
