Amar Chotai balances careers in radiology, dance music

Amar Chotai works in radiology, but he is also gaining widespread attention for his other passion: singing dance music.

Chotai, a clinical radiology registrar, works at Newcastle Hospital's NHS Foundation Trust in the U.K. He has also released two Latin dance songs, “Nunca Digas Adios” and “Señorita,” and is signed to a record label, Rise International Music. He plays the piano and guitar and lists Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias as two primary inspirations for his musical style.

Chotai is quick to point out, however, that he’s not about to abandon radiology for pop stardom.

“I love my job as a radiologist and I feel that I make a very positive difference to people's lives. I’ve just started year four doing radiology of the brain and I hope to become a consultant by 2020,” Chotai said, as quoted by the Evening Chronicle.
