FDA urges patients to get new mammograms after violations at Florida imaging center

Patients of Radiology Express in Deerfield Beach, Florida could potentially have breast cancer and not know it.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found multiple inspection violations, including the incorrect positioning of patients on the mammography machines at Radiology Express. The office “abruptly” closed its doors last year.

The imaging center has not performed FDA-mandated patient notification.

The FDA is urging women who had a mammogram taken at Radiology Express after April 2, 2016, to speak with their physician about getting a new screenings, reported WSVN 7 News.
