Imaging group Rezolut opens 26th center with more to come via Providence partnership

Imaging firm Rezolut recently opened its 26th radiology center in the U.S. with more to follow via a partnership with hospital giant Providence St. Joseph Health.

The latest addition is located in Chino Hills, marking the company’s seventh imaging center in Southern California. Rezolut teamed with the 51-hospital nonprofit back in August 2020 and the two plan to launch further locations in Buena Park, Fullerton and Los Angeles.

“This partnership allows us to offer patients the convenience of advanced imaging options just a few feet from their doctor's office,” Laura Ramos, chief executive of Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, said Jan. 27. “It's an important addition to the one-stop convenience the Heritage Chino Hills Medical Offices are designed to create, bringing everything from adult and pediatric primary care to specialty care, wellness services, and urgent care together under one roof.”

The Chino Hills outpost opened on Jan. 12 under the “Shin Imaging” brand, offering a range of services including MRI, 3D mammography, CT, X-ray, ultrasound and bone density scans. Jin Kim, MD, CEO of Atlanta-based Rezolut, said the center will serve as a model for several future openings in partnership with Providence. The imaging group also operates under multiple other brand names, according to its website, and additionally sells, services and rents equipment.

Earlier this month, Rezolut acquired the assets of Westwood Open MRI in Los Angeles with plans to expand the center’s offerings beyond magnetic resonance imaging.
