Inland Imaging recently inked a partnership to provide radiology services to patients treated by hospital giant Providence in southeast Washington state, the two announced recently.
Through the pact, five radiologists currently working at St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla will fold into the Spokane-based practice while staying stationed at the hospital. Leaders said the deal, which started July 1, will allow both parties to expand services and better connect physicians in the Northwest.
“Inland Imaging gives us considerably more depth on the bench because of its size,” Paul Conklin, director of imaging at Providence St. Mary, said in a statement. “They have a large group of subspecialists, which gives our patients more access to specialists in difficult, complex cases.”
Meanwhile, the practice also recently signed a deal with Dayton General Hospital—which is part of the Columbia County Health System—to provide its radiology services. Around since 1930, Inland Imaging employs nearly 100 radiologists with locations in Northern Idaho, Western Montana and across Washington state, according to its website. It’s also a member of the Strategic Radiology coalition of independent practices.
Practice contributes to vendor’s haul
University Radiology Group is one of several companies contributing to an artificial intelligence vendor’s $28 million in new capital.
ScreenPoint said the Series C funding also comes from private equity firm Insight Partners along with continued support from Siemens Healthineers and others. The Netherlands-based technology firm develops advanced imaging-recognition and machine learning software to improve breast cancer diagnosis. New funds will help expand the rollout of its Transpara AI software.
University Radiology Group labels itself as one of the largest providers of subspecialty imaging and telemedicine services in New Jersey. It employs more than 150 rads, providing services across 12 affiliated healthcare centers and 23 owned imaging centers, interpreting 1.8 million exams annually.
US Radiology Specialists seeks consistency
Growing radiology group U.S. Radiology Specialists is seeking greater consistency across its 160 outpatient imaging centers in 14 states with a new deal announced July 26.
The Raleigh, North Carolina-based practice is expanding its partnership with Fujifilm, using the vendor’s imaging workflow solution across its enterprise. Its aim is to improve patient interaction, streamline physician communication and ease administrative burdens.
U.S. Radiology Specialists employs more than 300 radiologists across 14 states, conducting 6 million studies a year.
