ASRT to donate $10K to Hurricane Florence relief efforts

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) has announced it will donate $10,000 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Florence Relief Fund to help ongoing relief efforts in North Carolina and South Carolina.

“Hurricane Florence has devastated a number of areas in the Carolinas and state and local officials expect to see more damage over the next several days,” Amanda Garlock, MS, ASRT chairman of the board, said in a prepared statement. “It’s crucial that we provide support to those affected as millions are without power and entire communities will have to rebuild.”

The ASRT also donated $10,000 to relief efforts after Tropical Storm Harvey and Hurricane Maria.

“As an organization dedicated to providing safe and high-quality patient care, we’re committed to helping those in need,” Garlock said in the same statement.
