The FDA has approved Siemens Healthineers’ MAGNETOM Sola, a 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner that utilizes the company's BioMatrix technology.
The scanner, according to Siemens Healthineers, was designed to increase productivity and improve efficiency. In addition, the multi-slice turbo spin echo (TSE) reduces musculoskeletal scan times by up to 46 percent, improving patient—and user—satisfaction.
The MAGNETOM Sola also includes a 70-cm bore and a new in-bore camera system for viewing the patient's face.
“With the MAGNETOM Sola, we provide the 1.5T market with the latest MRI advancements designed to overcome the challenges of imaging diverse patient populations,” Jane Kilkenney, vice president of magnetic resonance for Siemens Healthineers North America, said in a prepared statement.
