MEDNAX has announced the acquisition of Radiology Specialists, a private radiology physician group based in Las Vegas. Radiology Specialists will be the seventh practice—the first in Nevada—to be part of MEDNAX Radiology Solutions.
Following the acquisition, MEDNAX-affiliated radiologists will read almost 12 million studies annually.
"As a leading, high-performance radiology practice notably serving Nevada's only Comprehensive Stroke Center, we recognize that our continuing success relies upon timely adaptation to a dynamic radiology environment, with the groups most responsive to change at a distinct advantage,” said Sean D. Beaty, MD, president of Radiology Specialists, in a prepared statement.
Radiology Specialists currently includes 25 board certified and fellowship-trained physicians and provides both diagnostic and interventional radiology services. Some of the services provided are body imaging, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal imaging, cardiac imaging, breast imaging, pediatric radiology nuclear medicine and image guided therapy.
