Radiology Partners announces new deal with Atlanta-based Northside Radiology Associates

Radiology Partners announced Wednesday, July 10, that it has entered a new partnership with Atlanta-based Northside Radiology Associates (NRA).

NRA, ranked No. 23 in the Radiology Business Journal’s 2018 Radiology 100, is a 66-physician practice that provides subspecialized care to the greater Atlanta area. It has been an exclusive provider of imaging services for Georgia’s Northside Hospital health system since 1970.

“NRA’s vision of excellence and commitment to providing leading services genuinely impressed us, and we are excited to welcome them to the practice,” Rich Whitney, chairman and CEO of Radiology Partners, said in a prepared statement. “This partnership expands upon an existing presence in Georgia and marks our entry into one of the fastest growing metropolitan markets in the Southeast. We look forward to working with our new partners to build upon their impressive history of providing high-value clinical services to patients, clients and referring physicians.”

“After considering our options, we made the decision to partner with Radiology Partners based on a shared set of values and a vision for the future of radiology. We believe that this decision will strengthen our practice,” Steven Moss, MD, president of NRA and chairman of the department of radiology at the Northside Hospital System, said in the same statement. “The sincerity of Radiology Partners’ vision, coupled with their impressive infrastructure, resources and the support they provide to practices, will help our practice maintain clinical excellence and thrive in the future.”

After this latest announcement, more than 1,400 radiologists are now a part of the Radiology Partners clinical team.
