Radiology Partners inks deal with New Jersey-based Radiology Affiliates Imaging

Radiology Partners announced Thursday, June 27, that it has formed a new practice partnership with New Jersey-based Radiology Affiliates Imaging (RAI). This is the practice’s first partnership in the Northeast.

RAI is a 60-physician practice that has been treating patients in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware for more than 45 years. The practice provides subspecialized imaging services to 11 hospitals, five health systems and five outpatient imaging centers.

“We appreciate RAI’s commitment to outstanding clinical value and service—two critical components of the transformation that is underway in the radiology field,” Rich Whitney, Radiology Partners’ chairman and CEO, said in a prepared statement. “We believe RAI is the right partner for us to expand the scope of our practice into the Northeast region. With a strong history of service to their community and long-term relationships with leading health systems, they will bring significant value to Radiology Partners.”

“We have been impressed by Radiology Partners’ patient-centric philosophy, their understanding of the importance of IT development and their sincere commitment to elevating the quality of care we as radiologists deliver,” Eric Bosworth, MD, president of RAI, said in the same statement. “We are confident that this partnership with Radiology Partners will help our practice grow and succeed.”
