US Radiology Specialists announces partnership to develop 24-hr teleradiology services

More than 65 physicians and staff at Denver-based Diversified Radiology will join US Radiology Specialists, a North Carolina-based imaging facility. Specifically, Diversified Radiology will bring its teleradiology services to the US Radiology team in an effort to provide 24-hour radiology services.

"We are very excited to partner with Diversified Radiology," said John Perkins, MBA, CEO of US Radiology, in a prepared statement. "Their team of highly specialized radiologists and skilled service professionals fit in extremely well with our vision for US Radiology. They will be a critical part of our operations in Colorado and throughout the country as we continue to grow our state-of-the-art, 24-hour teleradiology platform."

Post implementation of the agreement, Diversified Radiology will still retain its name and the partnership will still allow for Kip McMillan to serve as CEO.

"Joining their team allows us to maintain clinical control of our practice and benefit from their extensive capabilities and investments, further accelerating our growth and advancing our technology,” said Sean Bryant, MD, chairman of the Clinical Governance Board of Diversified Radiology and a US Radiology Specialists board member, in the same statement. “The bottom line is this: our partnership with US Radiology will help us continue to provide the highest quality of care to our patients."
