Volpara Health Technologies to acquire MRS Systems

Volpara Health Technologies, the parent company of Volpara Solutions, has signed an agreement to acquire Seattle-based MRS Systems, Inc.

MRS Systems has a long history of developing technologies focused on patient tracking and radiology reporting. The move allows Volpara to expand its portfolio while continuing to work with AI and provide customers with its range of breast imaging solutions, according to a prepared statement.

“Working in the breast health care industry with MRS for many years, we have been extremely impressed with the quality of the people and the products they build,” Ralph Highnam, PhD, CEO of Volpara, said in the statement. “I'm happy to announce that we are combining to create a world-class entity with a strong U.S. customer base and an extended range of integrated products which can help detect breast cancer earlier and get accurate results to patients and their physicians faster.”

“The MRS team is delighted to be joining forces with Volpara in advancing personalized breast care,” Mark Morris, CEO of MRS Systems, said in the same statement. “Our team remains committed to helping our customers better serve patients by delivering innovative products. Becoming part of Volpara will help us deliver on that promise.”
