Ziehm Imaging gets $135M contract to provide radiology systems to DoD

Germany-based Ziehm Imaging, which has U.S. operations in Orlando, was awarded a $135 million contract to provide “radiology systems, accessories and training” to U.S. armed forces, according to a statement issued by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). Specifically, Ziehm Imaging will provide radiology systems to the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies.

“This is a five-year base contract with one five-year option period,” the DoD statement read. “This was a competitive acquisition with 50 responses received.”

Ziehm Imaging previously contracted with the DoD for $22 million and provided similar services. That contract ended in November 2014 after multiple extensions.
