Driver in fatal crash that killed radiologist pleads no contest

The driver who struck and killed radiologist Kenneth E. Najarian, MD, in June has pleaded no contest to drunken driving, according to reporting by the Burlington Free Press. She had previously pleaded not guilty.

Holly Gonyeau, from Ferrisburgh, Vt., appeared in court on Nov. 16 to change her plea.

Najarian, a radiologist at the University of Vermont Medical Center and professor at the University of Vermont, died tragically when his bicycle was struck by Gonyeau on June 17. Najarian had a 30-year career in radiology.
