Karleen Oberton named Hologic’s new CFO

Hologic announced this week that the company’s chief accounting officer, Karleen Oberton, has been promoted to chief financial officer. She replaces previous CFO Bob McMahon, who is leaving Hologic to work as the CFO for Agilent.

The move is effective Wednesday, August 1.

“Bob has made tremendous contributions to Hologic over the last four years, and we wish him all the best in his new role,” Steve MacMillan, Hologic chairman, president and CEO, said in a prepared statement.  “At the same time, we are excited to promote Karleen to CFO. She has a deep knowledge of our business and people based on more than 12 years of experience at the Company, and has been a great partner to our divisions. She has been instrumental in our efforts both to drive profitable growth, and to strengthen our balance sheet and cash flows.”

Oberton has been with Hologic since 2006, serving as corporate controller before being promoted to chief accounting officer in 2015.
