Half-century-old, 46-physician imaging practice in North Carolina joins Strategic Radiology

A half-century-old imaging practice recently joined Strategic Radiology’s growing coalition of independent groups, marking its 29th member and fourth in North Carolina.

Triad Radiology Associates employs 46 physicians in the Winston-Salem market and has long-running relationships with the Novant Health system. All told, TRA serves nine hospitals across more than 12 locations, the partners announced on Tuesday.

“Triad is an exemplary and progressive independent practice with strong community roots, an innovative IT arm, and active participation in organized radiology at the state and national levels,” Arl Van Moore Jr., MD, Strategic’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement.

TRA delivers care across all subspecialties of the field—including neuro-interventional, pediatric, musculoskeletal and cardiac imaging—and also runs a Comprehensive Quality Control Program, focused on clinical and service excellence.

Based in Palmetto, Florida, Strategic Radiology operates as an independent coalition of private practices across the U.S., now representing 1,200 physicians. Other recent additions include a 100-year-old imaging practice in Oregon and a 115-year-old provider in Virginia.
