SNMMI recognizes 2018 award winners

The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) recognized numerous award winners throughout its 2018 Annual Meeting in Philadelphia.

The SNMMI Presidential Distinguished Service Award, for instance, was given to three members “in recognition of continual dedication to the society.” The recipients were Arnold M. Strashun, MD, of Kings County Hospital and University Hospital in Brooklyn, New York; Bertrand Brill, MD, PhD, of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee; and Leonie L. Gordon, MD, of the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Other society members recognized during the 2018 Annual Meeting included:

  • Jeffrey P. Schmall, PhD – Majd-Gilday Young Investigator Award
  • Thomas Schindler, MD – Hermann Blumgart Award
  • Greta Mok, PhD – Tracy Lynn Faber Memorial Award
