Fujifilm Hosts Distinguished Panel to Explain New Oregon Breast Density Law and Importance of Breast Cancer Screening

STAMFORD, Conn. & BOTHELL, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--According to the American College of Radiology Imaging Network (ACRIN), 40% of all women undergoing screening mammography have dense breast tissue. A panel of thought leaders from leading healthcare organizations -– plus Oregon State Senator Elizabeth Steiner-Hayward -- will discuss the new breast density law that requires physicians to inform their patient if they have dense breast tissue. Oregon is among the fifteen states now requiring breast density notification.

The symposium will address the importance of an integrated and collaborative approach between providers and patients using mammography and other appropriate screening tools in the diagnosis of breast cancer.
