Philips debuts new MR system at ECR 2018

Royal Philips debuted its newest MR solution, the Ingenia Elition, on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2018 in Vienna.

The Ingenia Elition is a new 3.0T MR system that “performs exams up to 50 percent faster, with no compromise in image quality” and takes advantage of AI-driven analytics to improve practices’ MR workflow, according to a prepared statement.

“As value-based care initiatives challenge healthcare organizations to drive better outcomes, radiology departments are specifically caught between ever-increasing imaging volume demands, while also facing pressure to engage more deeply with both referring physicians and patients,” Arjen Radder, Business Leader MR at Philips, said in the same statement “Philips is responding to these challenges through the development of solutions such as Ingenia Elition to improve image quality and the patient and staff experience, as well as operational efficiency.”

The Ingenia Elition 3.0T is the latest solution in Philips’ new digital MR portfolio, joining the Philips Ingenia Prodiva 1.5T MR system. At ECR 2018, Philips will be displaying these solutions, and more, at booth #402 in X4 at Vienna’s Austria Center.
