Weight-Bearing CT International Study Group to host session at AOFAS 2018 Annual Meeting

The Weight-Bearing CT International Study Group is scheduled to host a scientific session on various benefits of weight-bearing extremity CT exams July 12 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.

The session, held in conjunction with the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) 2018 Annual Meeting, is being sponsored by Carestream, CurveBeam and Planmed.

Lew Schon, MD, an orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in foot and ankle reconstruction, will be speaking about the importance of weight-bearing CT and highlighting Carestream’s OnSight 3D Extremity System at Carestream’s booth, #407, during the conference.

“Patients want to know how badly they are injured, what the treatment plan is and how soon they can return to work,” Schon said in a prepared statement. He also called the Carestream solution “one of the most exciting innovations in extremity imaging in the last 20 years.”

AOFAS 2018 Annual Meeting attendees can register for the Weight-Bearing CT International Study Group session here.
