McKesson to help Munster Radiology raise its profile, improve service to patients

Munster Radiology Group is seeking help to strengthen its customer and patients billing services as it improves its patient experience.

The Munster, Indiana-based company has entered a comprehensive revenue cycle management agreement with McKesson Business Performance Services.

McKesson, an Atlanta-based healthcare services and information technology company, will provide customer billing support, coding and regulatory compliance, claims management, denial management and credentialing services to Munster, the companies said in a statement. Additionally, the partnership will help Munster’s physicians improve clinical documentation and facilitate business intelligence reporting.

Munster, which operates in three hospitals and employs 22 physicians, provides diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology and nuclear medicine services.

Munster is hoping the collaborating with help them provide better service to the communities they serve in Indiana.

“As a community-based practice, providing an enhanced patient experience is essential, particularly when it comes to financial issues,” said John Gustaitis, MD, president of Munster Radiology Group, in a statement. “McKesson has a tremendous amount of knowledge regarding radiology billing practices nationwide and both the understanding and the capabilities to meet the unique demands of our practice. We are excited to have them onboard.”
