NYU radiologists play larger role in diagnosing

Rather than submitting summaries of their findings to clinical oncologists and specialists, radiologists at NYU Langone Medical Center are participating in “virtual” morning rounds and including embedded images of scans and MRIs in their reports.

“Before, radiology was this big black box of people that you never really saw,” Sujata Chakravarti, MD, an attending physician in charge of the Congenital Cardiovascular Care Unit, said to the Wall Street Journal.
