Foundation Radiology raises $2.5M

Pittsburgh-based Foundation Radiology raised $2.5 million from investors, reports the Pittsburgh Business Times.

Founded in 2006, the radiology-services company employs 55 FTE radiologists and 47 FTE employees, making it one of the largest teleradiology companies in the country, according to a report in Radiology Business Journal.

Sources of funding included two previous investors, private equity companies Chrysalis Ventures and Health Evolution Partners, which also provided capital for Nashville-based teleradiology company Optimal Radiology.

Foundation Radiology CFO David Haffner told the Pittsburgh Business Times that the funds will be used to support growth and expansion.
