ACR’s Data Science Institute launches new website

The American College of Radiology (ACR) Data Science Institute (DSI) launched a new website that helps users understand and participate in radiology development.

“As we enter the era of machine learning, it is essential that we serve our patients by directly managing the use of clinical data science toward the improvement of care. This new site helps us do that,” said Keith J. Dreyer, DO, PhD, ACR DSI chief science officer.

Known for empowering the advancement, validation and implementation of artificial intelligence in medical imaging for improved patient care, the ACR DSI’s new website will offer resources to help radiologists and allied stakeholders to better understand how imaging AI use is progressing.

The resources and literature will include news and event announcements, white papers, videos, podcasts, the AI Assistant blog and recommended reading for visitors.

“The ACR DSI is moving artificial intelligence for medical imaging and the radiological sciences forward. The new website helps explain our work to integrate AI into radiology workflow and improve patient care. I urge those interested in AI, or who want to get involved, to visit the new site frequently,” said ACR DSI CMO Bibb Allen Jr., MD.
