Former Merge Healthcare CEO named Tribune Publishing’s CEO

Former Merge Healthcare CEO Justin Dearborn was named the CEO of Tribune Publishing Co. on Feb. 23.

Tribune Publishing, which is based in Chicago, publishes the Chicago TribuneLos Angeles Times and nine other daily newspapers as well as 60 digital properties and customized marketing solutions.

Dearborn was CEO of Merge Healthcare until IBM acquired the company for $1 billion in October.

Dearborn worked for Tribune chairman Michael Ferro’s firms Merrick Ventures and Click Commerce starting in 1997, according to the Los Angeles Times. Merrick Ventures bought a controlling stake in Merge for $20 million in 2008, according to the Chicago Tribune.
